| Company Introduction | 公司于1996年3月6日按照《公司法》在中国深圳市注册成立。 1996年5月，公司在香港和美国发行H股和美国存托股份（ADS）；2006年12月，公司在上海发行A股；2007年1月，公司运用发行A股所募集资金成功收购广州至坪石段铁路，公司经营范围由区域铁路进入全国铁路骨干网络。截止目前，公司是中国唯一一家在上海、香港和美国三地发行证券的铁路运输企业。 公司主要经营铁路客货运输业务及与香港铁路有限公司合作经营过港直通车旅客列车运输业务，并为国内其他铁路公司提供铁路运营服务。公司亦经营铁路设施技术综合服务、商业贸易及兴办各种实业等与公司宗旨相符的其他业务。 公司独立经营的深圳—广州—坪石铁路，营业里程481.2公里，纵向贯通广东省全境。其中广坪段为中国铁路南北大动脉——京广线南段；广深段是中国内陆通往香港的两条铁路通道之一，连接京广、京九、三茂、平南、平盐、厦深铁路、穗莞深城际、赣深铁路和香港铁路东铁线，是中国铁路交通网络的重要组成部分。 客运业务是公司最主要的运输业务，包括广深城际列车（含广州东至潮汕跨线动车组）、长途车和过港直通车运输业务。公司广深城际列车实施公交化运营，在客流高峰期平均每10分钟就有1对“和谐号”电动车组在广深间开行。公司与香港铁路有限公司合作经营的过港直通车是穗港两地的重要交通工具之一。公司组织开行多列以广州、深圳为始发终到站的长途旅客列车，通达全国大部分省、自治区和直辖市。 货运业务是公司重要的运输业务。公司不仅拥有完善的货运设施，能有效地进行整车、零担、集装箱、笨重货物、危险货物、鲜活货物和超限货物的运输，而且经营的铁路线路与广州、深圳地区的主要港口紧密相连，同时还通过铁路专用线与珠三角地区的若干大型工业区、物流园区和厂矿企业相连。公司货物运输的主要市场为中国内陆中长途运输，在中国内陆中长远距离货物运输方面具有竞争优势。 铁路运营服务是公司自2009年12月武广铁路开通运营以来开拓的一项客货运输延伸业务。目前，公司已经为武广铁路、广珠城际、广深港铁路、广珠铁路、厦深铁路、广东铁路、南广铁路、贵广铁路、珠三角城际、茂湛铁路、深茂铁路、梅汕铁路和赣深铁路等提供该项服务，铁路运营服务已成为公司一个新的业务增长点。未来，随着“粤港澳大湾区”一系列高速铁路和城际铁路的陆续建成并投入运营，公司提供铁路运营服务的区域范围将更加广泛。 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
