1996年6月25日，深圳市工商行政管理局出具《公司名称预先核准通知书》（编号：WE5298），核准“深圳天达重型机械有限公司”名称注册。1996年8月9日，深圳市人民政府核发《中华人民共和国台港澳侨投资企业批准证书》（外经贸深合资证字[1996]0861号），批准中方国通天港实业开发公司、深圳天达空港设备有限公司和外方中集香港、海领实业有限公司共同投资。2018年9月30日，车辆有限的8名股东中集集团、中集香港、住友商事株式会社、上海太富、深圳龙源、南山大成、台州太富及象山华金共同作为股份公司发起人签署了《发起人协议》。 2018年10月10日，发行人召开股份公司创立大会，审议并通过了股份公司设立的相关议案，通过了《公司章程》并选举了股份公司第一届董事会成员及第一届监事会非职工代表监事。全体发起人同意将车辆有限截至2018年6月30日的净资产3,651,996,830.08元，折为发行人股份150,000.00万股，每股面值1.00元，超过股本总额部分的净资产2,151,996,830.08元计入发行人资本公积。2018年10月23日，深圳市市场监督管理局向中集车辆核发新的《营业执照》（统一社会信用代码：91440300618919879N），发行人完成整体变更为股份有限公司的工商登记手续。公司是全球销量排名第一的半挂车生产企业，在全球主要市场开展七大类半挂车的生产、销售和售后市场服务；在中国市场，公司是具有竞争能力和创新精神的专用车上装生产企业，同时也是知名的冷藏厢式车厢体的制造企业。公司于2002年进入半挂车行业以来，围绕“专注、创新”所形成的经营优势、技术优势，实现了半挂车销量全球第一。在国内，公司运营着“通华”、“华骏”、“深扬帆”、“瑞江汽车”、“凌宇汽车”、“梁山东岳”等行业知名品牌；在北美，公司运营着“Vanguard”、“CIE”等知名品牌；在欧洲，公司运营着“SDC”和“LAG”两个历史悠久的知名品牌。通过多年持续发展，公司与众多知名客户在全球半挂车业务领域展开合作，包括JB Hunt、Schneider、Milestone、TIP、DHL等欧美一流物流运输企业和租赁公司；在中国专用车业务领域，公司和国内主要重卡企业如陕西重汽、中国重汽、上汽红岩、一汽解放等都建立了紧密的合作伙伴关系。公司从2014年起开始探索建设“高端制造体系”，目前在境内外已建成12家半挂车生产灯塔工厂、6家专用车上装生产灯塔工厂、2家冷藏厢式车厢体生产灯塔工厂，并搭建了多个系列半挂车产品的“产品模块”，公司将继续致力于全面搭建和完善“高端制造体系”，保持公司的持续竞争优势。
